The Elkton School District has one major public high school, Elkton High, which is supported by several public elementary and middle schools. Elementary schools include Thomson Estates, Holly Hall, Cecil Manor, Elk Neck, Gilpin Manor, Leeds and Kenmore. Middle schools include Elkton and Cherry Hill. The Providence School is a public institution for grades 1-12. Private elementary and middle schools in town include Immaculate Conception School, Elkton Christian Academy, Cornerstone Christian Academy and the Kiddie Academy of Elkton. For those who are seeking college-level curriculum, seven colleges and universities are located within 40 miles of Elkton: Delaware Technical and Community College; The University of Delaware; and West Chester University, which is located less than 30 miles away in Chester, Pennsylvania.
